Parish Ministries

Bereavement Ministry

Bereavement ministers represent the parish community by offering a gentle, supportive, and non-judgmental presence to assist families in planning the funeral liturgy and guiding them through the funeral mass process. The ministry meets with the grieving family at their home or the Parish Office.  Listening is the key skill as ministers help family members select readings, music and other elements of the funeral liturgy. This ministry is maintained by volunteer members of our parish with guidance from Fr. Bill. We are supported by the music, server, lector, Eucharistic, and luncheon ministries. We all work together to coordinate the needs of the family on the day of the funeral service. Time commitment as a minister is 2-4 hours over several days to plan the funeral. Two meetings are held in October to plan the All Souls Day Mass. New members are always welcome.

Part of this ministry involves providing a luncheon for the family of the deceased parishioner after the mass and graveside services. The Church provides the meat/cheese tray and/or barbecue and parishioners are contacted to provide the side dishes. Volunteers are always welcome for this ministry. Environmental Ministry

Our ministry consists of volunteers that keep the church clean on a weekly basis and prepare it for the weekend liturgies as well as different liturgical seasons. Volunteers clean on a monthly basis.

Men's Group

Our monthly Men's Group is a discussion, based on the Sunday Gospel, of the challenges Catholic men face to live lives of integrity. It's not a "prayer group" or a "support group," but instead a respectful environment to talk with other believers about things that matter.

Please contact Fr. Tim at 513-753-5566 ext. 102.

Prayer Circle

The St. Bernadette Prayer Circle is a group of parishioners praying for people who are in need of prayer. The prayer line is a way of having immediate prayers said for your needs. Many of those prayers have been answered. Prayer partners are always welcome. For prayer request line, please call 513-943-4190.
