St. Bernadette offers classes and prayerful discussions about the Catholic faith on Tuesday evenings, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), this series is open to any older teen or adult who is questioning whether he or she might want to become a Catholic or return to the Catholic faith. PRP classes are designed for the children of parish families who are in Kindergarten through Grade 8 and who attend day schools which do not provide a Catholic religious education. Ninth and tenth grade parish students, who will also be participating in Confirmation preparation and/or RCIA, may be included on a limited basis. Non-parishioner children will be accepted with permission of the Director of Religious Education (DRE), especially when access to religious education in the home parish is somehow limited. The St. Bernadette Worship Committee nourishes and gives direction to the liturgical aspect of parish life. The Committee ensures that parishioners are provided with opportunities to deepen their faith through a variety of liturgical celebrations and prayer experiences. It further promotes programs of education, liturgy planning, celebration and evaluation to help develop the liturgical life of the parish. Read more...
